@TwoDaff

By Daffs aka @TwoDaff

First formed in 2019, Liverpool based THE KAIROS are Tom Dempsey (Vocals/Lead Guitar), Lewis Chambers (Guitar), Owen Forrester (Bass) and Sam Bradley (Drums). After an impressive string of critically acclaimed single releases such as 'Lazy Lethargic', 'Round the Bend’ and ‘Timekeeper’, THE KAIROS have trailblazed their way over the past 12 months amassing a plethora of new and devoted fans off of the back of their first UK tour, signing a new Management and Booking Agent deal with Solo Music Agency (Blondie, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Iggy Pop, James) and indisputably, bursting onto the music scene with a bang.

Set to release an EP in May ‘Better late than Never’ comprising of four brand new tracks, they released the lead single ‘Thick of it’ on Friday 10th March recorded and produced at The Motor Museum in Liverpool synonymous with the likes of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and The 1975. Following this release, THE KAIROS have their eyes set on making an impression on the illustrious UK festival circuit this summer, along with a homecoming EP release gig on the 25th May at Hangar 34, in the heart of Liverpool's Baltic district.

A tsunami of high energy drumming

Thick of it opens with blistering guitars and a tsunami of high energy drumming. Its fast paced, anthemic with a euphoric rhythm that leaves you breathless. The vocal is delivered with an element of vitriol, and hint of a scouse accent. Proper in your face its not for the faint hearted. It blends synonymously with the instrumental and highlights the power in Tom's voice.

A euphoric rhythm that leaves you breathless

The bass thunders and roars underneath soaring guitar riffs, loud and raucous, it’s a barrage of sound delivered with confidence and a huge injection of swagger. The chorus raises the level, anthemic, loud and vibrant, the vocal gets stronger, louder throughout building to crescendo.…this will take the roof off any venue, anywhere. It has bounce that will shake the floor. It’s a huge powerful track that will whip crowds into a frenzy.

A barrage of sound delivered with confidence

It’s packed with energy with fast paced guitars and fantastic scorching solos. The drumming is like a thundering barrage of artillery, impeccably timed driving the rumbling bass and setting the pace for the vocal that spits and snarls. It’s a strong anthemic track that comes in like a lion and keeps roaring to the end. It’s a statement of intent, this band mean business…ignore them at your peril.

A statement of intent

Thick of it highlights the accomplished musicianship that THE KAIROS possess. Well honed instrumentals, a perfectly matched vocal that delivers a massive punch. They certainly dont sit on their laurels creating a sound that blisters and boils, ramped up energy and guitar fuelled Alt-rock. Its gonna be a massive year for them in my opinion.
